Dear faculty, staff and students,

I am excited to share with you that Jacqueline A. Travisano, Ed.D., MBA, CPA, will join Wake Forest as executive vice president and chief financial officer in July. In this vital role, she will advance the University’s strategic priorities and identify and allocate resources to support Wake Forest’s academic mission. Dr. Travisano was identified through a highly competitive national search process, and I am grateful to members of the search committee for the critical role they played in recruiting her to Wake Forest.

In the EVP role, Dr. Travisano will oversee the University’s financial operations and have responsibility for human resources, facilities and campus services, information systems, real estate, and hospitality and auxiliary services. She will succeed current EVP Hof Milam, who announced his planned retirement earlier this year after 12 years of distinguished service to his alma mater.

Dr. Travisano brings deep higher education expertise to the EVP position and has been widely recognized for her ability to effectively manage complex organizations. Currently serving as executive vice president for business and finance and chief operating officer at the University of Miami, she has more than 30 years of distinguished service working with universities and nonprofit organizations to optimize their finances and operations. Before joining the University of Miami in 2017, she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Nova Southeastern University.

Recognized as a collaborative and student-centered leader, she has partnered with colleagues to significantly raise undergraduate admissions standards, improve student retention, and construct cutting-edge facilities for student housing and research. Read more about her accomplishments on the Wake Forest News website.

I look forward to the leadership, strategic vision and commitment to excellence Dr. Travisano will bring to Wake Forest. Please join me in welcoming her to our community. If you would like to send her a note, you may do so at jackietravisano@gmail.com

Sincerely,

Susan R. Wente, Ph.D.

President
